NEWS
Election of Officers
April 20, 2017 will be election of two (2) Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 term. If you wish to have a say in the VVA 798 leadership, please be at the meeting by 1930 hrs.
MEETINGS
By a vote of the Board of Directors of Chapter 798, we have opted to change the meeting of 798 back to the American Legion Rainbow Post #2 meeting room. Please be advised that meetings will be held as usual, with the Board of Directors to meet at 1900 hrs. and the regular meeting at 1930 hrs.
Meetings with Governor Branstad
Officers of VSO's from area are meeting with the Governor every 3 months to try to push forward any item or activity that will benefit Veterans. Next meeting date is pending
COLOR GUARD
The next Color Guard practice will be on April 22, 2017. This is at the north end of the Conagra parking (just south of the American Legion building) lot in Council Bluffs. It will start at 1300 hours. All members of the Color Guard and any Veteran who wishes to join should be there. We have 2 parades to practice for, so we need to look sharp.
OPERATION Engage America
As a valued resource for Veterans we would like to invite you to join us at the Operation Engage America - Veteran Resource Fair. Saturday April 29, 2017. This important event is FREE to the public. We hope you join us! Saturday April 29, 2017 at Community of Christ Church, 140 W. Kanesville Blvd., Council Bluffs, IA. 51503. 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
